JOEL COOPERMAN, D.O.

Dr. Cooperman is Board-Certified in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and has practiced in the Denver area for 50 years. His experience encompasses a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries due to either arthritis, athletics, falls, car accidents, failed surgeries or other causes. He combines aspects of sports medicine, nonsurgical orthopedics and manual techniques to diagnose and treat each person uniquely, also incorporating medication, injections and/or physical therapy when appropriate. His passion is to partner with patients to help them achieve their optimal health and function. Having worked with professional athletes in the past as well as dedicated amateurs, and as a reformed athlete himself, he understands the desire to keep active and fit—especially for ski season! One of several hundred Board-Certified Manipulative Medicine Specialists in the United States, Dr. Cooperman aims to “treat the patient as a whole, not just his or her symptomatology,” and offers counsel accordingly so that his patients can enjoy their healthiest possible lifestyle. He is a past president of the Colorado Society of Osteopathic Medicine and member of the American Osteopathic Association, formerly AOA Board Chairman.
